On September 14, 2020, in the presence of the Minister of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense four contracts for new military equipment for Polish Armed Forces were signed. All orders were placed in the Companies of Polish Armaments Group and three of them involve the purchase of ammunition produced in MESKO.

 

The contracts were signed by Col. Marek Kozłowski, Weapons Chief in the Armaments Inspectorate and Tomasz Stawiński, President of the Management Board of MESKO S.A.

 

First contract, for the 11 thousand rounds for 152 mm self-propelled gun howitzer DANA worth almost 76 million PLN. The second contract concerned the purchase of a total of 174 thousand of 30 mm MK44 Bushmaster ammunition, used on the Rosomak APC, and 23 mm anti-aircraft training ammunition – with a total value of 105 million PLN. The third contract, worth 41,5 million PLN concerned 8 thousand rounds for 122 mm self-propelled howitzer 2S1 Goździk.

 

The ammunition for 2S1 Goździk and SpGH DANA is to be delivered in 2020-2022 and ammunition for 23 mm and 30 mm cannons – in 2020-2023. All of the above mentioned contracts concern ammunition and equipment that is already used in the Polish Army today.
