On May 29-30, 2024 the annual conference of KDA Remote Turret users "KONGSBERG PROTECTOR Users Working Group 2024" was held in Kongsberg, Norway.

 

MESKO had the pleasure of presenting an original model of the integration kit enabling mounting two PIORUN MANPADS launchers on the PROTECTOR RS6 Remote Weapon Station, mounted on a Mowag Piranha 8x8.

 

Due to the huge demand of NATO troops for portable anti-aircraft systems, the reputation of the PIORUN MANPADS among users, as well as the implementation of this kind of weapon on Remote Turrets as a solution for destroying drones, the integration kit enjoyed great interest among PROTECTOR system users present at the conference.

 

The next step in the cooperation between MESKO and Kongsberg will be the joint presentation of the aforementioned solution during the MSPO 2024 Exhibition and the development of functional prototypes for the PROTECTOR RS4 and RS6 Remote Weapon Stations.
