Under the agreement signed at the end of December between the Armaments Agency and MESKO S.A. – a company belonging to the PGZ – the company will supply the Polish Armed Forces with over one million rounds of 12.7x99 mm ammunition. A number of other actions were also undertaken in the second half of 2024, significantly accelerating the development of MESKO S.A.

The contract with the Armaments Agency covers the production and delivery of over one million rounds of 12.7x99 mm ammunition for heavy machine guns and anti-materiel rifles. The order covers several types of this ammunition. The contract will be implemented in the years 2024 to 2027.

- We always adhere to the highest standards in terms of quality and schedules to ensure that our products meet customer expectations. Deliveries of ammunition and equipment for the Polish Armed Forces are a priority for MESKO. Such contracts also entail great responsibility related to participation in the process of strengthening the defense potential of the Polish army, which directly translates into increasing Poland's military security - emphasizes Renata Gruszczyńska, Chairman of the Board of MESKO S.A.

Also at the end of December 2024, the Armaments Agency ordered 79 sets of PIORUN MANPADS MOCK-UPs from MESKO S.A. These models replicate the dimensions and weight of the missile system in a 1:1 scale, but lack combat features. The MOCK UPs are ideal for military training, among other applications. The delivery completion date is set for October 2027.

In the second half of 2024, the current management board of MESKO S.A. decided to purchase real estate near Warsaw to systematically increase the production capacity of the PIORUN MANPADS. This is due to growing demand for a product that has proven effective during the full-scale war in Ukraine. Orders for MESKO's man-portable air-defense systems are coming from, among others, the USA and Norway.

Cracks in the global security architecture are resulting in rapid changes in customer needs. MESKO S.A. is modifying its product portfolio to reflect current and projected market trends. This strengthens the company's position in the defense sector.

The strategic purchase of real estate in Kraśnik aligns with this concept. The investment already opens up new opportunities for the company to develop and increase production—particularly in the crucial 155 mm caliber. The goal of the project is for MESKO S.A. to achieve a production capacity of even more than 100,000 units per year for 155 mm ammunition while maintaining the capacity to produce other products.

The first step taken by the current management board is the acquisition of three plots of land from the Rolling Bearing Factory in Kraśnik, with a total area of approximately 1.53 hectares. The purchased properties contain the necessary industrial infrastructure that will allow MESKO to launch a production line. This investment will not only increase its production capacity but also enhance its competitiveness in the defense market. In 2024, MESKO delivered the first batch of 155 mm ammunition shell casings.

2024 ended with a record-breaking revenue for MESKO S.A., reaching approximately PLN 1.6 billion—over 55% more than in 2023.

- This was due to several significant factors, including a systematic increase in the production of PIORUN MANPADS, planned production of the 5.56x45 mm ammunition with a steel-core projectile, production and acceptance of field tests of the first batch of 155 mm artillery ammunition shell casings for AHS KRAB, international cooperation in creating Polish production potential of modular charges for 155 mm ammunition, introduction of a strategic management model by the management board, and enormous commitment of all the company's employees in order to implement the signed contracts - emphasizes Renata Gruszczyńska, Chairman of the Board of MESKO S.A.
